Seedlings
These pieces are about all that is exuberant in life: entropy, decay, disease and rot, but also love, sex, the will to live and to prosper and reproduce. They are meant to be very purely about vigorous play and pleasure. I think of them as creatures that should not have come to exist to begin with, and yet who find a way to reproduce, profit, and increase their number. Of course, this could be another way of saying that I feel an irresistible urge to make them. Or, maybe, I simply feel an insufficient urge to resist.
